About

Sondii Group, focuses on graphic design in the field of scientific research. We use the intersection of science and art to custom design thesis covers, thesis figures, book illustrations, principle animations, etc. for the scientific research community. Over the years, we have cultivated a team of designers with various disciplines, created and published more than 100,000 covers and figures for journals such as Nature, Science, Cell, etc,and established deep  cooperation, with Harvard University, Oxford University, Stanford University and many other famous universities and research institutes.
With the development of scientific visualisation, our design services involve all visualisation products in the fields of scientific research, science communication, science education and science popularisation. The service targets have gradually developed from scientific research groups to publishers, academic journals, science and technology-based enterprises, and scientific service organisations. We have participated in the cover and layout design of many international famous publishers, such as Nature, WILEY, Springer and ACS.
We adhere to the concept of “help scientific research, serve scientific research”, interpret the beauty of science, and make scientific visualisation accessibl.

My Story

As a worker in the field of research drawing, in my mind, science and art are like intimate twins, interdependent and inseparable.

During the course of my work, I have become acutely aware of the difficulties that many researchers have in articulating the results of their research.

Therefore, in 2007, I devoted myself to the cause of mapping research, blending the rigour of science with the flexibility of art. I want to help research practitioners visualise scientific results and present them fully in the most intuitive way so that they can be more widely disseminated.

The cover art illustrates amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) particles can directly infiltrate inside fibrils and mediate the phase transformation for collagen mineralization, improving the mechanical properties of the mineralized collagen and significantly promoting dentin remineralization, which provides a new mechanistic understanding of collagen mineralization and a promising strategy for hard tissue.

The cover art illustrates the composition of the environmental protein corona offers an intriguing possibility to track the transport of nanomaterials through the environment and up the food chain, and to support modelling of nanomaterial transport.

The artwork showcases the architecture of the F8-A22-E4-H5 holoenzyme and highlights its two processivity-enhancing mechanisms. The holoenzyme, depicted by a construction worker, is attached to double-helical green vines by a safety belt and a pair of climbing spikes. The safety belt represents the ring formed by A22-E4, which encircles the single-stranded template DNA upstream F8. The climbing spikes signify the H5 tetramer that attaches to the newly synthesized double-stranded DNA downstream F8.

The cover art  show that upregulation of the tRNA methyltransferase proteins TRMT61A and TRMT6 and N 1-methyladenosine modification of tRNAs contribute to accelerated mRNA translation efficiency, in particular synthesis of MYC protein, and are required for rapid T cell proliferation.
The cover art illustrates how exuberant host immune responses (the fire) thwart SARS-CoV-2 infection while exerting damaging effects on host cells.
